ABOUT THe project

This light-filled mid-century home in the Seattle area was already a perfect canvas for its creative owners — a growing family of product designers who brought their wonderful design sensibilities into a truly collaborative remodel with us.

We created a new modern kitchen that feels both serene and full of life. A right-sized island keeps plenty of room for the little ones to pretend and play right in the heart of the action near the large windows. Even the once-bland garage door got a fresh lease on life with half-glass panels that now brighten the entire area and make it feel connected instead of like a dead end.

Fun, multi-colored cabinets from Leicht Seattle, combined with thoughtful lighting and intentional space planning, turned this into a unique and joyful space built for real familial connection and everyday enjoyment.

Of Note — Color! So many homeowners are secretly terrified of it — “What if I don’t like it in a year?” But the truth is, most of us have loved our favorite colors for much of our lives, and that affection tends to stick around. These design-oriented clients embraced multiple hues that still make them smile and widen their eyes with delight every single time they walk into the room. Now, who wouldn’t want that?
