Ensconced on a steep slope in West Seattle, this modern home with significant Puget Sound views was encumbered with visually destructive layouts and poor light circulation, but now showcases wonderful features like a glass-encased central staircase & bright, warm kitchen & folding back patio door. Proper space planning for the public areas of the home (kitchen/dining/living room) significantly impacts and improves the remaining sections of the structure, particularly when natural light distribution is prioritized.
Of Note — When a bedroom is unceremoniously repurposed for an office it is generally a poor functioning, hot mess. For this client we placed room-to-hallway windows, greatly enhancing a connection of the office with house activity...also providing an additional benefit of pleasing natural light in the hallway!
