Perched on a steep slope in West Seattle with striking Puget Sound views, this modern home was previously held back by visually disruptive layouts and poor light circulation. Today it showcases a dramatic glass-encased central staircase, a bright and inviting kitchen, and seamless folding patio doors that open the living spaces to the outdoors.
Thoughtful space planning in the main public areas — kitchen, dining, and living — has created a powerful ripple effect that improves the function and feel of the entire home, especially by prioritizing generous natural light distribution throughout.
Of Note — Repurposing a bedroom into an office is often a recipe for a poorly functioning hot mess. For this client we added windows from the office to the hallway, creating a strong visual connection to the life of the house while also bringing welcome natural light into the hallway.
