This well-traveled family wished to remodel their large home to function significantly better for themselves and the many guests that are invited often for pool parties and extended stays. The original layout included a wide central hallway off the entry that was dark and uninspiring. Now, that's not a pleasant way to enter one's domain each day! Utilizing all that centralized dead space for new areas created brighter, larger zones that spawned a vastly more pleasing relationship amongst public sections of the home. Revitalized are an office, kitchen with scullery/pantry, informal dining and laundry/project center.
Of Note — Invariably, families have precious accouterments they enjoy, such as: items gathered in travels, artworks, collections, photos and many others. Improperly displayed, with no real planning, relegates the enjoyment dead on arrival. So, once we grasp the nature of the baubles, we can determine methods to present these items at their best.
