ABOUT THe project

An active family of 4 and an endearing pup inhabit this terrific rambler with a fantastic view of the city.  But the existing kitchen was highly sequestered in a small space with no connection to the family room or the view...almost as if the kitchen were a utility room, rather than the project center for today's homeowners.  We pruned the walls flanking the staircase to initiate that kinship and then, for good measure, dilly-dallied with a few more. This allowed a fortuitous location adjacent to the garage to be carved out for a cheerful & functional laundry/drop center....and BLAM a wonderful main floor living experience became the new norm!

Of Note — Many homes feature stairs to a lower level squatting in the center of the main floor (or in an otherwise unholy position)...this can be great, if one knows how to maneuver despite them.  Fortunately, proper space planning can make ANYTHING a good thing!  Bring your funky, crazy, 'why the hell?!' aspects of your home and we will discover awesome options every time.
