ABOUT THe project

This client arrived with a short but very clear list that was long on aspirations, sparking a wonderfully collaborative process and a result we’re truly proud of. The refreshed spaces now feature rich solid walnut counters and shelving, beautiful handmade tile, warm bronze-toned accents, simple yet vivid lighting fixtures, soft warm-grey appliances, and abundant natural light. It’s a riot of texture and personality… or as we like to call it, a very calm and collected riot.

Of Note — Wood counters with a sink? Absolutely. Yes, they require a bit more care than stone or engineered surfaces, but they deliver a depth of warmth and soul that simply can’t be matched by anything else. After all, some of the finest pleasure boats in the world are still crafted from wood. We paired them with distinctive tile shapes and luxury-level fixtures and hardware that glow with quiet old-world elegance.

*As a PNW & Wasatch Front interior designer and interior architect focused on space planning and functional design for remodels throughout the greater Seattle region, I especially enjoy these projects where a homeowner’s clear vision and meaningful material choices come together to create spaces that feel personal, warm, and genuinely livable.
